BODIES
this guide shows you the different styles of fursuit you can get. You are not limited to these options, this is just to give you ideas
Full suitThe full suit is the most suit you can get, completely head to toe in fur, this is with the head, body, hand paws, foot paws and tail, all extras are available in this option and this is available in both plantigrade and digitigrade
this is one of the hottest but most impressive of suits, only second to quads. This gets very hot especially with digitigrade padding, be aware of this it is highly suggested that you get under armor to wear under your suit, an ice vest is not nessisary but will allow you to suit longer, I suggest https://www.ezcooldown.com/us/shop-by-use/mascot-costume-performers-cooling-vests/ |
3/4 suit AThis style is ideal for characters that wear long sleeve shirts, it includes the head, hand paws, furry pants, foot paws and tail, the legs are available in both plantigrade and digitigrade
this one is a good for if you want to get used to the heat on your legs, but aren't ready for a fullsuit, this option is less claustrophobic then a fullsuit |
Small Partial suitThis option is ideal for characters who wear long sleeve shirts, pants and human shoes, this way you can be a very humanoid animal, but still have your animal flare! It includes the head, hand paws and tail
Very simplistic, I would say this is the best option if you just want to try fursuiting, as it gives you the head to get used to, the less then dexterous paws, and the tail that can hit things, but you don't have to worry about as much overheating, nor getting your foot paws dirty |
Mini suitA mini suit is anything that doesn't include a full head, this can include ears, tails, muzzles, hats ect.
this is a good option for more casual wear, it will not make you hot, a good idea is to get a mini suit of your fursuit character so when you get too hot for that you can put on your mini suit and still be your character! |
QuadsuitThis suit is not for the feint of heart, it is the hottest and most labor intensive option, but it is also the most impressing! This includes the head on helmet with chest strap, body with intense padding, digitigrade legs, armstilts, claws, foot paw pads/hooves on all 4 feet, and tail (the tail will most likely have to be attached)
while this suit takes much practice to master, once you do nothing will be more impressive! Upper body strength and good stamina is needed for prolonged suiting, a cooling vest is strongly recommended for quadsuits https://www.ezcooldown.com/us/shop-by-use/mascot-costume-performers-cooling-vests/ |
